Rebecca Webster’s Art courses are perfect for complete beginners, for those who wish to refresh their skills and for people who are looking for new challenges. The workshops are very relaxed but a lot of work is completed over each session.

Each art course is suitable for all levels of abilities. These courses will show all the basic techniques for painting beautiful flowers and gardens in watercolour and Acrylic. Demonstrations and individual tuition will inspire you to develop your own style and enable everyone to go home with paintings to be proud of.

As our groups are small, individual tuition and attention is assured with no one left floundering. The days are fun and the setting is friendly and non-competitive environment.

Each art course takes place at Hillside House, a beautiful and ideal venue in Castleton itself, which lies in the very heart of the Peak District National Park.
We can promise an exciting variety of stunning painting opportunities, excellent value and a very high standard of comfort and cuisine.

Course fees include tea, coffee and a buffet lunch. In the summer it will be taken in the large picturesque garden. Off street parking is available right outside of Hillside House.

If you are an experienced Artist and would like to use the facilities, but do not want to take the tuition that is not a problem. Or if your partner doesn't want to partake of the art course, but does want to be involved in the holiday...no problem, they can go as a non-participating partner.

Should you have to a cancel workshop then your fee can be transferred to another date if advance notice is given. (There is a small charge for this.)

Beginners Guide to Acrylic Paints:

This is a painting course which will help you get the most out of painting with acrylics. As a painting medium Acrylic offers excellent flexibility and is great for beginners but is also used increasingly by many professional artists. Mixed with water it paints like watercolour or used straight from the tube for an effect like oils. Learn to layer paint to enrich colours, create depth, and explore composition and the many other techniques to create a successful painting.

During one day events beverages will be provided, but price does not include lunch.

Flowers and Foliage in Acrylic:

Rebecca will give you the skills to capture the textures and tones of a wonderful array of flowers and foliages using Acrylic. Individual guidance along with demonstrations will enable you to achieve impressive results.

Garden Flowers & plants in Watercolour:

Ladies Events

If you belong to a WI or Art group I can arrange a morning, afternoon or evening event in Castleton or I can visit you at a venue of your choice. I can provide detailed demonstrations and will be on hand to discuss techniques.
